Transverter 144MHz <-> 1296MHz a'la DB6NT
1,3GHz - a frequency with about 23cm wave lenght. This frequency requires
an optimal operation site! The transmission power is about 1,5W with which it is still possible for reaching stations at a distance of more than 300km, despite the power being so low. Please feel free to view the DESCRIPTION of the construction kit of DB6NT.
Of course it's also possible to have a little more power: This picture shows the
transverter with 25W PA. I did some QSOs with tis configuration
here.
This is the back side of the unit: from left to right are the following connectors / control elements: Transceiver (IF 144 MHz) Antenna for 1296MHz, through connector for inserting a power amplifier, control port for the PA (PTT), 12V power supply, fuse, on-/off-switch.
